a. Driving tuition is available only to individuals who meet the following criteria:
a. Students must inform their instructor of any medical conditions, medications, or disabilities that may affect their ability to drive safely.
b. If a medical condition arises that affects driving ability, lessons may need to be postponed until medical clearance is obtained.
a. You must be able to read a vehicle number plate (with glasses or contact lenses if necessary) from 20 metres.
b. You must meet the minimum eyesight standard for driving, with a visual acuity of at least decimal 0.5 (6/12) on the Snellen scale, using both eyes together or, if applicable, in one eye only.
a. You must not consume alcohol or illegal drugs before or during a lesson.
b. If your instructor believes you are under the influence, they will cancel the lesson at your expense, and you will not be permitted to drive their vehicle.
a. You and your instructor are responsible for agreeing upon the timing, location, and duration of lessons.
b. You must inform your instructor of any issues that may affect your ability or entitlement to receive driving tuition, such as the loss or suspension of your provisional licence.
a. If you are receiving driving lessons from another instructor or driving school concurrently, you are required to inform your instructor at Correra's Driving School.
b. This disclosure is important for ensuring that your lessons are tailored to your needs and to avoid any potential conflict in instruction or scheduling.
c. Failure to inform your instructor about other lessons may result in a lack of continuity or conflicting guidance, which may affect your progress.
d. Correra's Driving School reserves the right to modify your lesson plan or advise on appropriate scheduling if multiple driving lessons are being taken concurrently.
a. Lessons must be paid for at least 3 days (72 hours) before the lesson commences.
b. Failure to make payment before the lesson may result in cancellation of the lesson.
a. A minimum of 48 hours notice is required for cancellations.
b. If your instructor cancels a lesson without 48 hours notice, they will rearrange the lesson.
c. If you cancel with less than 48 hours notice, you may be charged in full.
a. The DVSA requires at least three clear working days notice to cancel a driving test. If your instructor deems you unprepared for your test within this notice period, you may forfeit your test fee.
b. If the DVSA cancels your test with less than 48 hours notice, you are still responsible for the lesson fee. You may complete a Refund of Out-of-Pocket Expenses form to request reimbursement from your instructor.
a. Instructors are not responsible for delays caused by traffic.
b. If your instructor is running late, they will notify you in advance (subject to phone signal availability).
c. If possible, any lost lesson time will be added to the end of the lesson or a future booking.
d. Your instructor will wait up to 10 minutes after the scheduled start time. If you do not arrive within this period, the lesson will be charged in full.
e. Any test fees lost due to late arrival are non-refundable by Correra's Driving School, its instructors, or the DVSA.
a. Correra's Driving School provides pupils access to Theory Test Pro, which includes:
a. Correra's Driving School reserves the right to assign a different instructor if the original instructor is unavailable due to illness, holiday, or unforeseen circumstances.
b. If the tuition vehicle becomes unavailable due to maintenance or breakdown, a replacement vehicle may be provided where possible.
a. In the event of a breakdown or vehicle malfunction during a lesson, the lesson will either continue in an alternative vehicle (if available) or be rescheduled.
a. The use of the instructor's vehicle for the driving test is at the discretion of the instructor.
b. If the instructor deems the student unprepared for the test, they have the right to refuse the use of the tuition vehicle.
c. The student is responsible for ensuring they bring their provisional licence to the test.
a. If you have a complaint about your instructor or tuition, you should first discuss the matter with your instructor.
b. If the issue is not resolved, you can escalate it to Correra's Driving School by providing written details of your complaint.
a. Lessons may be cancelled or rescheduled due to extreme weather conditions if driving is deemed unsafe.
b. If the DVSA cancels a driving test due to weather conditions, they will automatically reschedule your test.
c. The fee paid to the instructor for the test is refundable via a Refund of Out-of-Pocket Expenses form. The instructor will sign the form, but it is the student's responsibility to submit it to the DVSA for reimbursement.
a. Students must follow their instructor's guidance and instructions at all times.
b. Repeated failure to follow safety instructions or engaging in reckless driving may result in termination of tuition.
c. Mobile phone use is prohibited during lessons unless in an emergency.
a. If a student fails to attend a lesson without notifying their instructor, it will be considered a no-show, and the lesson will be charged in full.
b. If a student does not book or attend lessons for an extended period (e.g., 6 months), any prepaid lessons may be forfeited unless prior arrangements have been made.
a. If a payment dispute or chargeback is raised for a lesson already provided, Correra's Driving School reserves the right to suspend future lessons until the matter is resolved.
b. Any fraudulent chargebacks will be subject to investigation, and legal action may be taken.
a. If a student is under 18, a parent or guardian must provide consent for them to take lessons.
b. Parents/guardians may request updates on the student's progress, but the instructor's priority is the student's privacy and development.
a. You agree to allow Correra's Driving School and its instructors to post pictures of your driving test pass on social media.
b. You agree that Correra's Driving School may film parts of your driving lessons, including in-car training sessions, for use on social media and promotional materials.
c. You may request that specific footage not be shared publicly.
a. Any personal data provided will be securely stored in accordance with the UK GDPR 2021 and Data Protection Act 2018.
b. By providing your contact details, you consent to being contacted by Correra's Driving School regarding relevant products and services.
a. Correra's Driving School shall not be held liable for any failure to perform or delay in performance of its obligations under these terms and conditions caused by events beyond its reasonable control, including but not limited to pandemics, government restrictions, natural disasters, or transport disruptions.
a. Refunds will only be considered in the following circumstances:
a. Gift vouchers purchased from Correra's Driving School are non-refundable.
b. Gift vouchers are valid for six months from the date of purchase and cannot be exchanged for cash.
c. If the recipient is unable to use the voucher within the validity period, it will be forfeited.
a. Correra's Driving School adheres to all government guidelines regarding public health regulations in force.
b. Students are required to follow any safety measures communicated by their instructor. Failure to comply may result in the cancellation of lessons.
a. By providing your contact details, you consent to be contacted by Correra's Driving School regarding lesson schedules, cancellations, or updates.
b. You may update your communication preferences at any time by notifying your instructor or the driving school.
a. All driving instructors working with Correra's Driving School are self-employed.
b. As self-employed individuals, instructors are responsible for managing their own schedules, lesson plans, and financial arrangements.
c. Correra's Driving School facilitates the connection between students and instructors but is not responsible for the day-to-day management of instructors business operations.
d. Instructors are also responsible for their own insurance, tax obligations, and compliance with relevant driving and safety regulations.
e. Payments for lessons are made directly to the instructor or through the school, as specified by the instructor's preferences.
a. Correra's Driving School reserves the right to update these terms and conditions at any time.
b. Any updates will be communicated to students, and continued use of our services implies acceptance of the changes.
a. Correra's Driving School reserves the right to terminate tuition if a student:
a. Correra's Driving School aims to provide high-quality tuition, but passing the driving test is not guaranteed.
a. These terms and conditions are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes arising from these terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
By booking lessons with Correra's Driving School, you agree to abide by these terms and conditions.
